EDM fans can feel the love at China Blue’s High on Life event Friday April 19, which includes a performance by Lucky Date.
“Lucky Date coming Friday shows that we are dedicated to bring the people of Boise and its EDM fans talented headliners,” said Nicol Young, general manager at China Blue.
“I have never played in Boise but I’ve heard its crazy,” said San Francisco native, Jordan Atkins aka Lucky Date, “I’m excited to come to a new market.”
Inspired by Benny Benassi, Lucky Date’s sets are roller coasters of unpredictability, full of ups and downs and familiar music mixed with brand new edits.
“I like messing around with tension by creating big sounds that drop into the opposite feeling. I’m all about pulling people in,” said Lucky Date, “It’s still progressive house in the fact that its constantly progressing and building.”
China Blue has been busy building Boise's EDM scene by hosting and sponsoring acts like Sensory Illumination, which only helps bring bigger names to Boise.
Music starts at 9 p.m. and cover costs $10 at the door, although fans can purchase advanced tickets online. Drink specials will be running throughout the night and Lucky Date will be joined by DJ Koitz and Aaron Liven.
