Here are a couple of upcoming shows we couldn't fit in today's print edition of Boise Weekly that you shouldn't miss out on:
Seattle's Ivan & Alyosha is currently pushing its debut album, All the Times We Had. The retrolicious folk-pop group will stop by Neurolux Wednesday, April 3 with Fort Atlantic and locals Le Fleur opening. The show starts at 7 p.m. and costs $8 in advance or $10 at the door.
Also performing this week is the experimental electropop group Parenthetical Girls. The band’s blend of experimental synths and classic pop songwriting styles is good fun. The group performs at the Flying M Coffeegarage Thursday, April 4 at 8 p.m. The show costs $5 and is all ages.
Finally, if you’re in the mood for something a little funkier, hit up Tom Grainey’s this weekend to catch the Scott Pemberton Trio. The Portland, Ore.-based jam-masters will give Old Town a good funking Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6 starting at 10 p.m.
