It's Treefort time. While there are smartphone apps, calendars and Boise Weekly's on-the-ground coverage to help you navigate the festival, the hunt is on for ways to step back and decompress from all the excitement.
The Basque Center is a stone's throw away from Treefort ground zero, and tonight, it is hosting Read Me Treasure Valley's latest event, featuring John Bieter. The Boise State professor will discuss An Enduring Legacy: The Story of Basques in Idaho, the book he co-authored with Mark Bieter about three generations of Basques in Idaho.
The free event includes live Basque music, begins at 7 p.m. and will help cleanse your palate of the ruckus downtown.
