So far I've seen lines wind around the block to meet a cat, the post-apocalyptic go-kart driven by Tom Cruise in the upcoming film Oblivion and gotten blisters from hiking around the sweltering streets looking for tacos.
And the portion of SXSW I'm actually here to see hasn't even started yet.
Today is when the music conference actually kicks off. There will be fascinating speakers, the introduction of cutting edge technology and pretty much every band in the world.
The hardest thing about SXSW is that every second of every day is packed with so much to see and do that it's a constant cost-benefit analysis. Should you see an amazing up-and-comer or discuss the Tupac hologram's impact on live music technology? Should you watch Iggy Pop play a club set with The Specials or... Well?
I'll be doing my best to represent Boise's interests here, catching up with Idaho bands and acts that will be schlepping up to Boise for Treefort next week. Feel free to follow along here and on Twitter @TheJoshGross. I'd be glad to take your suggestions about what to go see.
