The kids are antsy. The bone-chilling numbness outside has left them anxious to get out and play. But what's all that white stuff on the ground?
Children are delighted by snow and are all too pleased to learn more about it. Enter Waiting For Snow, a puppet show put on by the Boise Public Library's Main Branch for young children, about a baby squirrel's first encounter with the white fluffy stuff.
Here's a synopsis: A baby squirrel has never seen snow, and his friend, Morris the Moose, explains that snow is white, cold and beautiful. Thrilled at the prospect of seeing something new, the squirrel goes out into the wide world in search of powder.
The free play begins at 2 p.m. in the Main Library's Hayes Auditorium.
