It's First Thursday. You could join the throngs mobbing downtown galleries and stuffing themselves with complimentary snacks and wine tastings. (Check this week's Boise Weekly for info on where to get your First Thursday on.)
But maybe the cold weather and landscape paintings aren't your thing. That's fine. We've got your back.
Total Recall, the second (and most recent) adaptation of the Philip K. Dick short story, "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale," is playing at 7 p.m. at the Boise State Special Events Center. Students get in FREE as part of the Thursday Blockbuster Series, but if you're not a student, it'll only cost you $1.
If you're not familiar with the film, the short story or its 1990 predecessor starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, here's what goes down: A man's identity and allegiances are called into question when he takes a "vacation" using Total Recall, a procedure that implants users with false memories. The movie stars Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel and Bryan Cranston.
