The U.S. Postal Service is running in the red; Americans aren't sending nearly as many letters and cards as they used to, but keeping the mail coming to your mailbox every day isn't cheap. The holidays are a great time to do your patriotic duty to fund this time-honored institution by sending holiday cards to your friends and family.
You can opt for a Hallmark Christmas, complete with soft-focus camera shots of B-list actors weeping into their sweaters, or you can make your own cards. If you opt for the latter, Making Tea Greeting Cards is the event for you.
Make three of your own holiday greeting cards from 1-5 p.m. for $15 at Candlewood Suites, 700 N. Cole Road. There will be a serving of tea with each card, so bring your mailing list, make cards and enjoy tea.
Since materials are provided, it pays to let the organizers know you're coming. They can be reached at 208-322-4300 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
