In an age of geek celebrities like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, those with the most thorough or arcane knowledge of culture and technology are kings—or queens, as the case may be for Gill Saunders, senior curator of prints at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
She'll speak at 6 p.m. in the Boise State University Student Union Building's Hatch Ballroom about past exhibits she has curated, particularly on the topics of contemporary prints and drawings. She'll also talk shop about being a museum curator at the VAM and elsewhere.
Her specialty at the VAM is contemporary printmaking, women artists of the 19th and 20th centuries, and botanical illustration. Beyond curation, Saunders is a teacher, lecturer and author of several books on everything from wallpaper to African printmaking.
Admission to the talk is FREE.
