All good things must come to an end. And the parade of factoids, free drinks and general shenaniganry that is Booze Clues is apparently no different.
The long-running trivia series at Pengilly's hosted by man-about-town and Boise Weekly contributor E.J. Pettinger announced that Tuesday, Oct. 30, will be its 100th and final event.
"I've gotten to the point now, where it's really difficult to generate the questions," Pettinger said. "It's kind of tricky. They have to be the exact difficulty level or it doesn't work. If it's too easy, it doesn't work; if it's too hard, it doesn't work."
Pettinger said that agonizing over question development eventually burned him out on the process of putting the event on every week.
"I'll miss doing it," he said. "I won't miss preparing the questions."
The final Booze Clues will go down at Pengilly's at 9 p.m. As always, the only cost will be to your productivity on Wednesday morning.
