The first time I saw The Maladroids, I wrote about the tightness and technical precision of the punk-rock shockwave blasting off the stage.
Commenter Marv Jonesi didn't agree, and complained about the write-up being too positive on Facebook.
"Serious chops alone do not make a musician. Musicality, soulfullness, taste, fer instance, are also requisites. This is like watching someone type fast. Skillfull—yes. Musical—huh?" Jones wrote.
That's why, when sitting down to interview The Maladroids for the latest episode of Scenes From a Scene, I cut to the chase and asked them to defend loud noisy chaos.
They did. With school shootings.
