Need Something To Do Monday?

by

Hey there, storytellers. It's the last Monday of the month, which means you can quit filling your favorite bartender's ears with your tall tales and spill your guts on stage in front of a room full of non-judging strangers.

Story Story Night is happening at 7 p.m. at the Rose Room, where featured storytellers Tracy Sunderland, Margaux Reed and Al Popwell will divulge true, personal accounts on the theme, Underdog: Stories of Long Shots. After intermission, brave audience members can put their names in a vessel, resulting in them possibly being chosen to take the stage and tell a story of their own on the theme. Why the heck would you want to do that and risk total embarrassment? Because the story slam winner will take home a nifty prize package from Boise Guesthouse and Rediscovered Books.

Stories will be broken up by live music from Dan Costello and witty banter from Jessica Holmes, who will host the evening. Doors open at 6 p.m. for those who pre-purchase tickets online for $7. Those who choose to buy tickets at the door for $5 can battle it out for a spot starting at 6:30 p.m.

After the stories wrap up, the party will move to Red Feather Lounge and Bittercreek Ale House, where ticket holders will receive a complimentary beverage. Visit the Story Story Night's website to purchase tickets and for more info.
