On Aug. 14, Buffy creator and The Avengers director Joss Whedon sent out a video blog with a tongue-in-cheek request that people boycott Sleepwalk With Me, the debut film from comedian Mike Birbiglia, so that it didn't threaten The Avengers' supremacy at the box office.
Today, Birbiglia and the film's producer, Ira Glass of This American Life, struck back by outlining their strategy to make the film more successful than The Avengers by a single dollar.
Then the dynamic duo threw in a slam by insinuating that Whedon made all his money overseas, instead of from 'Merica.
Whatcha got now, Whedon? You going to create a new bad-ass girl character to fight back for you? Eh?
