Need Something To Do Saturday?

What do you get when you mix roller skates, potatoes, pie and a whole lot of attitude? Probably a great big mess, or, in the case of tonight's event at Centurylink Arena, Skate or Die Tater Pie.

The Treasure Valley Roller Girls will compete in yet another cleverly named bout tonight (sans actual pies and potatoes), when the TVRG B Team takes on Missoula, Mont.'s Hellgate Roller Girls and the TVRG All Stars take on the Dropkick Donnas of Olympia, Wash.'s Oly Rollers.

Tickets are $10 at Thomas Hammer Coffee, the Record Exchange, Reggie's Veggies on Ustick Road and Milwaukee Avenue, Smart! Art Crafts for Kids on Glenwood Street or on the TVRG website. Tickets are available at the arena and its website for $12 general, or $20 VIP roller derby floor. Tickets for the little ones (ages 2-12) are $4 and only available at the door.

As always, the TVRG tickets benefit a worthy cause. A portion of proceeds from tonight's bout goes to Boise Bully Breed Rescue and Boise Black Dog Rescue, so you can watch some dog-eat-dog roller derby action while simultaneously helping real dogs have better lives.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the first bout is at 7 p.m., with the main event at 8:30 p.m.
