Tonight, you can swing by Red Room and celebrate diversity in spelling with a performance from Ripynt, which is pronounced "repent." The Everett, Wash., MC is on a nine-city tour to push his remastered, re-issue The Hurt Locker Deluxe, which dropped in June.
The album does all right with the beat-bumpings and fancy rhyming, and the man is clearly a fan of beanies and comic books. There's even a song he wrote about how excited he was for The Avengers movie. Ripynt will be performing alongside "explosive" Portland, Ore., MC Saint Warhead.
The show is listed as starting at 8 p.m, but since it's a hip-hop show, it will likely start at whenever-the-fuck-they-feel-like-it-o'clock (probably 10 p.m.) and cost $5. Visalia, Calif.'s The Freeman, and locals Dedicated Servers and P Dirt, are opening.
