Need Something To Do Saturday?

Didn't get to go out of town this weekend? Perhaps you should thank your lucky stars that you're Treasure Valley bound, because there are more events taking place today than there are hairnet-clad sample ladies at Costco on a Saturday.

For starters, you can saunter to Bricolage, at 418 S. Sixth St., and get ready to rummage. The house of art and nicknacks is hosting a flea market today from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. According to the event's Facebook page, there will be "art, antiques, junk, furniture, hugs, advice and MORE!" available to peruse. Boise Weekly will be on the scene capturing all the good finds and embraces, so check back to relive the thrifty glory or see what you missed.

And why not fill your newfound, old-school vase with some fresh-cut lavender? The Lakeside Lavender You Cut Festival is happening today and Sunday, July 15, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Enjoy FREE lavender lemonade and cookies, shop for lavender-laden goodies, take a FREE class, enjoy a lavender lunch by Brick 29 Bistro, or check out the live music, info booths, face painting and carriage rides. And then enjoy being relaxed.

If that relaxing lavender has left you lacking energy, head to the 26th Annual Exergy Twilight Criterium downtown. Get re-energized by joining the throngs of people who fill the streets to watch more than 200 world-class cyclists compete. A ride with Kristin Armstrong begins at 2:30 p.m., and races continue until 10 p.m. Read more about it here.

And finally, conclude your day with a lot of laughs at the return of the Fueled by Desperation Comedy Tour. Lead desperation dude Gabe Dunn told BW in December 2011 he was suspending his show when Liquid started hosting weekly comedy gigs, and would bring it back later. He's making good on his promise tonight at Fatty's. The show will star Dunn and Jen Adams, along with M.C. Sam Lounsbury. It starts at 8 p.m. and costs $10.
