Saying he believed the system was "headed in the right direction," Boise State President Bob Kustra lauded college football's new four-team playoff system as "a positive step."

"My concerns with the [Bowl Championship Series] always centered on access, governance and revenue distribution," said Kustra, before adding a note of caution: "We still need to learn more details about the playoff system," which is scheduled to go into effect in 2014.
