Have you ever been watching watching reality TV and gotten so mad at all the fudging dillholes that you just want to kill? Sure you have. But chances are you haven't followed through because then you'd go to jail and spend a very long time eating unpleasant jail food.
But what if you had a terminal illness and it didn't matter because you'd be dead soon anyhow? Well then, my friend, game on.
That's the plot of God Bless America, a new film written and directed by comedian Bobcat Goldthwait and starring Joel "brother of Bill" Murray as a vigilante with a brain tumor determined to kill the shit out of America.
"Why have a civilization if we're no longer interested in being civilized?" Murray asks in the trailer after gunning down someone for talking in a movie theater.
And unlike the 1993 film Falling Down, which has some similarly murderous plot points, God Bless America is a comedy. A very, very funny one.
Tonight the film will be screened at Red Room as part of the Evil Wine Invasion film series.
The movie starts at 9 p.m. and is FREE.
