Grand Falconer is not a prestigious title given to a raptor-wielding hunter who’s worked his way up from a wee apprentice. It is a band, a wholesome band at that.
And while "wholesome" is a subjective term, members of Grand Falconer live up to the descriptor, composing pleasingly rhythmic sounds on cello, drums and accordion. That said, the group isn't afraid of a little experimenting on stage, weaving together various genres like indie, folk and pop.
