The Boise Towne Square mall will soon welcome a new retail shop that is sure to provoke a mad dash similar to the Nordstrom Rack hullabaloo.
Swedish clothing company H&M plans to open its first Idaho outlet, filling the space formerly occupied by Borders books, next to the Cheesecake Factory at the mall. The location has remained empty since the Borders chain went out of business in 2011.
An exterior remodel of the 22,000-square-foot space will put the look in line with other H&M stores. The chain is known for featuring affordable yet fashionable clothing and accessories for men, women and children.
The Boise H&M store will join more than 200 locations scattered across the United States. As of now, the closest outlets are in Salt Lake City and Portland, Ore.
