Downtown metal venue and hoodlum hangout, The Shredder, has been inching its way along for the better part of a year. It has hosted private shows, one-off events and opened its doors only on nights when bands were booked.
But starting today, Wednesday, May 9, music or not, The Shredder will be open at 430 S. 10th St. That means anyone can stop by for a beer, a quick go at the halfpipe or a wicked game of pinball without a cover.
From The Shredder's Facebook page:
If you are up to no good today. Feel free to stop in at the Shredder for some cheap brews and hot tunes provided by Jason Burke anytime after 5 today.
Venue owner Justin Cantrell told BW the plan is to remain open Wednesdays through Sundays, from 5 p.m. until close.
