Food Truck rallies have become a popular trend in Boise. So popular, in fact, that organizers have put some serious thought into comfortably accommodating all the hungry customers looking for a bite to eat. The overwhelming success has also inspired neighboring Canyon County to launch its own rally this month just as glimmers of warm weather are beginning to appear.
Brick 29 is pioneering the first Nampa Food Truck Rally, which is scheduled for Saturday, April 14, from 5-9 p.m. at Lloyd’s Square on Front Street and 14th Avenue. Brick 29 takes pride in utilizing locally grown foods to prepare tasty grub at its Nampa brick-and-mortar restaurant. It also jumped on the food truck fad early with the B29 Streatery truck, which has been an active participant in past Boise rallies.
Other participating food trucks include Archie’s Place, Brown Shuga Soul Food and RiceWorks. And consumers can expect more than just a hunger fix, with local live music and Idaho microbrews available. So treat yourself to a few brewskies and feel good about it because beer sales will benefit the Pix Theater restoration project.
