Semester finals are usually really dull. You fill in the bubble sheet with a No. 2 pencil, rehashing the info you crammed into your brain the night before while drinking three pots of coffee and hating yourself for being a procrastinator, then hand in your test and forget everything.
Not so at Boise Rock School. Students from the winter session are going out with a bang—or rather a guitar riff and drum solo. The school's gig to mark the end of winter session is happening tonight at the Linen Building, and for a $5 suggested donation, you can catch all of the active BRS bands and private-lesson students. There will also be a performance from the students of the Idaho Shakespeare School of Theater, along with Pie Hole pizza and a full bar with ID.
You can also pick up a copy of the school's first-ever compilation of original music. The 11-track album will be available for purchase at the end-of-session gig.
The show starts at 4 p.m., and if you can't make it tonight, you can catch the second day of performances on Wednesday, March 21, same place and time.
