Nothing screams Sunday like the phrase "disco dance party." Yup, it's exactly what you think it is—'70s platforms and bell bottoms, disco music and Saturday Night Fever-esque moves underneath the a gleaming disco ball—but it's family friendly.
The groovy gig gets going today at 4 p.m. at the Treasure Valley Institute for Children's Arts headquarters, which is a super-sweet historic church in the North End at 1406 Eastman St.
Don't have any disco moves? There will be instruction by Dr. Jon, and platforms for the lil' ones to show off what they've learned while partially shrouded by the output from bubble and fog machines. The Vinyl Preservation Society will provide the tunes to get down to.
All ages are welcome and food will be available for purchase. Suggested $5 donations will benefit TRICA.
