Remember passing out Valentine's Day cards in grade school? After carefully decorating your paper bag "mailbox" and putting it on your desk, you scoured the store for cards with cool cartoons and painstakingly selected the perfect one for each classmate. Your heart would race as you opened the ones you received and, after looting them for candy, you'd search for one that said "Be My Valentine" from your pre-adolescent crush.
Or maybe you stopped at looting them for candy.
Either way, you can be somebody's Valentine today at the Boise State Student Union Building. From 6-8 p.m., you can partake in the Be My Valentine fest, which features a balloon artist, face painting, Valentine-making and a coloring table, among other things. Take your little ones to the SUB's Hatch Ballroom and craft creative cards that will blow the other children's store-bought cards out of the water. It's FREE for Boise State students and their families, and $5 for non-students and their little ones. Visit the Student Programs Board website for more info.
