What is it about being ahead of the curve that feels so deliciously awesome? Whether it was completing all the Hunger Games books before anyone else heard of them, being the first to rock a rubber bracelet or find the latest YouTube smash, there's a feeling of ultimate coolness that comes with knowing about stuff before the masses make it trendy.
Boise Contemporary Theater wants to give you that cool-original feeling by showing you the next big thing in theater before it blows up. The 5X5 Reading Series allows Boise audiences to catch five of what BCT calls "the best new plays in the country" in their raw form. Attendees can talk to the directors, actors and playwrights about their work before it hits the stage.
Catch Tracy Sunderland's Forgetting the Words today at 7 p.m. at BCT. Tickets are $12 per person, unless you haven't hit age 30 yet, in which case you'll get a $2 break. Just be sure to bring your ID. And really, what's $10-$12 when you can solidify your rep as a cutting-edge individual?
