The holiday season can bring out the best in people—almost every event gives some portion of its proceeds to a charity, people volunteer and there's an overarching feeling of good will.
It can also bring out the worst—think mad dashes through stores in search of the year's hottest gift, and screaming spoiled brats demanding that they have exactly 47 presents to unwrap on Christmas morning.
Knock 'Em Dead Dinner Theater's latest production, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, involves some pretty rotten kids—but they're much more entertaining than the tots in the check-out line at Toys 'R Us.
The play tells the tale of the Herdman kids, billed as the "worst kids in the history of the world." They terrorize other children, lie, steal, swear and generally wreak havoc on everyone around them. When they decide to take over the church Christmas Pageant, ignoring that they're completely ignorant of the Christmas story, the traditional performance is completely revamped—much to the horror of Christmas story purists.
