Local Filmmaker Gregory Bayne Secures Funding for Bloodsworth

Local filmmaker Gregory Bayne, the man behind the camera for Jens Pulver: Driven and Person of Interest, reached his goal in online fundraising for his new film, Bloodsworth: An Innocent Man, a documentary about the first time DNA evidence was used to exonerate a death row inmate.

The campaign, run on the crowd-funding website kickstarter.com, raised $25,841 for the film's production.

Despite just now clearing the fundraising hurdle, Bloodsworth has already received coverage in The Washington Post, The Sacramento Bee and Salon.com.
