Need Something To Do Friday?

Being a jazz aficionado is kind of like being a wine expert—knowing your stuff about either adds a sophisticated air to your appearance.

If you want to learn a little something about jazz—either because you want to seem suave or you just like good music—head to the Morrison Center Recital Hall at 2:40 p.m. today, Friday, Dec. 2.

The Boise Jazz Society will host an educational "in-formance" with the Bill Anschell-Madeline Eastman Duo. Eastman, a San Francisco-based jazz vocalist and Anschell, an acclaimed jazz pianist from Seattle, will perform and talk about their craft. You can enjoy their talents and learn a little something about jazz, thereby earning you the right to use terms like "bebop" and "scat."

If you miss this afternoon's FREE show, you can catch the duo at 7 p.m. at Boise Blue Note. Tickets are $25 for Jazz Society members or $30 for nonmembers.
