Being hungry sucks. It makes you light headed and grouchier than the green puppet that lived in the trash can on Sesame Street. Then there are the weird groaning noises that emit from your stomach, causing people to throw you "what the hell was that?" glances.
The Idaho Hunger Relief Task Force doesn't like people being hungry, either. Its mission is "to put public and private resources into action statewide in order to eliminate hunger and provide food security for all Idahoans." And it has a pretty cute slogan: "Making a place at the table for all Idahoans."
If you want to help, you can go to Sockeye Grill today, get yourself something yummy to eat or a barley pop (like, say, a delectable Dagger Falls IPA), and cruise the selection of fine art prints from Wingtip Press. A silent auction featuring work from 120 artists goes up today at Sockeye, and proceeds will benefit the The Idaho Hunger Relief Task Force.
The auction will officially close Monday, Dec. 5, with a reception at 6 p.m., so go bid on your favorite pieces today, and grab some grub while you're at it.
