Need Something To Do Friday?

You might remember Victorian-era ladies wearing antler hats and playing poker at the 2011 Modern Art event in May. That was the creative execution of local artist (and ex BW-er) Tyler Bush—and some very up-for-anything friends.

Bush’s latest interactive art installation—Home on the Strange—is happening tonight, and if his Modern Art room was a preview of the originality and artistry of tonight’s event, you'll want to check it out.

Bush has transformed a vacant house into his very own dreamscape. He has taken the visions of his subconscious and turned them into a tangible, tour-able, otherworldly environment where women rule. And have antlers.

Artist friends including Analisa Ravella, Minerva Jayne and Veiko Valencia are also participating in the evening’s festivities. Local musician Leta Neustaedter will play and the Basque Market will be serving paella. Adult beverages will be available for purchase by those with ID.

Stop in at 206 W. Jefferson (aka Strange Manor) between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. to check it out. It’s FREE to attend.
