This year's auction is a big freakin' deal.
Not only will original pieces from the city's art heavyweights be on the auction block, and not only will you be able to pick up that work at an excellent price, and not only will we once again be raising dough to fund private arts grants to even further enrich Boise's art scene, but our superfabulous auctioneer Johnna Wells will be returning to take charge of the ceremonies.
We're also moving locations this year and will be holding our grand shindig at the Linen Building.
And this will be the 10th Cover Art Auction Boise Weekly has hosted since getting the crazy idea to publish local artists' work on our cover each week. And—as if it could get better—Trey McIntyre Project joins BW as a co-sponsor of the event, with company dancers who will, once again, display/walk/dance with each piece as it is auctioned off.
Yeah, yeah, it's only August, but we know how popular you are and how crazy your social calendar is, so in an effort to help you plan ahead, here's what you need to know:
