Need Something To Do Wednesday?

It's often said that the power of live theater can't ever really be captured on film. And while we here at Need Something To Do Today? are certainly no fans of watching shaky home videos of a grade school play, we also don't think that sort of film is a fair comparison to professional theater. And if you want to really decide for yourself if film is incapable of capturing the theatrical experience, you have to give it a fair shot.

So today, why not do just that?

Swing by Edwards 22 today and you can catch a showing of The Metropolitan Opera's production of Puccini's Tosca, in which Rome faces musical invasion by Napoleon's forces in three acts.

After that, you can decide about this filming-the-theater business.

The screening starts at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $15.
