Best of Boise is Nigh

Do you feel it? That strange urge to share your opinion about the best and brightest of Boise, to shout from the hilltops (or your keyboards) and give some well-deserved props to those local people/places/things that most deserve them?

Don't panic. That urge isn't the result of subliminal programming broadcast directly into your head via your cellphone. It's more of a primal instinct triggered by the imminent start of voting for the annual Best of Boise survey.

Voting for the 2011 Best of Boise will open on Wednesday, July 20. And like in previous years, voting will be entirely online. Since you're reading this, you already know how to find, so starting on July 20, just look for the survey link on the homepage, which will take you to the ballot.

This year's survey will have a slightly different look, but you will still be able to start your voting process and return later to finish up. You'll still have to answer at least 20 questions to have your ballot counted, and you'll still need to be a member of our little website to get access to the ballot.

Voting will close at midnight on Sunday, Aug. 28, and results will be published in the Sept. 28 edition of Boise Weekly. Of course, we'll get you ready for the big reveal of the Readers' Choice winners with the annual Staff Picks edition on Sept. 21.

Now, put your thinking caps on. You have a little more than one week to prepare.
