Since taking a terrestrial foothold in April, KRBX 89.9 FM, aka Radio Boise, has added some flavor to the radio station lineup with a mix of information and all kinds of music, including blues, singer-songwriter, indie, hip-hop, soul, ‘80s pop, locally grown tunes and more.
If you've spun the dial to 89.9, you may have heard the voice of someone you know DJ-ing and thereby felt a connection to the local "non-commercial, community-programmed, listener-supported" station. Now, you can hold your affection for Radio Boise even closer to your heart with a station-sponsored T-shirt design contest.
All of the contest rules and regulations are available at Radio Boise's website, but there are a couple of things that might be helpful to know right now:
1. The design "must contain the words 'Radio Boise,' 'KRBX' and '89.9 FM' (in no particular order) and may contain the phrase 'Community Radio for Boise and Beyond.'"
2. Designs are due by noon on Wednesday, July 27.
