Totally Bogus Hill Climb on Sunday, June 26

Who wants to jump out of bed on Sunday morning and ride a bike uphill along a notoriously narrow and twisting road for fun?

If you rolled your eyes, lifted one corner of your mouth in a sneer and either thought or said "Not me," don't worry about reading the rest of this post. But if you're one of those slightly crazy people who enjoys it when your quads feel like they're going to mutiny and physically leave your body in protest, here's the event for you.

Bob's Bicycles is hosting the Totally Bogus Hill Climb Series beginning on Sunday, June 26, with a second ride on Sunday, July 31. The ride starts at 9 a.m. at the corner of Curling and Bogus Basin roads and heads up to the Ada/Boise county line for an eight-mile round trip.

Everyone is welcome to ride, although anyone without an annual racing license will be charged an extra $10 on top of the $25 registration fee. Waiting until the day of the ride will also cost you another $10. Avoid the extra fees by pre-registering online at
