To quote Mr. Alice Cooper, “School’s. Out. For. Summer!” And not only the book learnin’ kind. This is the time of year when the kiddies’ dance, music and art classes also go on hiatus, making room for long hot days for little ones who have no obligations other than to make the dog days of summer last as long as possible.

One group wrapping things up until their next session starts in the fall—other than some summer camps—is the Boise Rock School. The youngsters who have been working hard for the past 12 weeks will perform for friends, family and anyone else who’s interested in what the little rockers learned over the course of a session.

The end-of-school gig begins at 4 p.m. at the Linen Building with a $5 suggested donation at the door. Pie Hole will be dishing up slices and there will be a full bar for those with ID. This is a Pedal for the People event—attendees are encouraged to ride bikes to the party. If you do, you will receive a spoke card raffle ticket for the drawing that Boise Bicycle Project will have on Saturday, June 25.
