A seed of an idea was planted in the minds of Brandon and Kathrine Stankewsky when they decided that eating natural, organic food was important to them and their growing family. That seed, which sprouted from the realization that quality produce can be pretty spendy, grew into a cornucopia of good eats, good intent and good will.
They are busy whipping the garden into shape and they could use some help. They have a dozen 100-foot long rows that need to be weeded and as many irrigation ditches that need to be dug. Volunteers can stop by the garden today at 2257 W. Targee St. in Boise between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. to lend a hand.
