Need Something To Do Sunday?

Yeah, summer! Woo hoo! Public pools are officially open and it's time to get wet!

Unless, of course, you are being raised by zealots who think being able to swim means you're a witch. Children of the Nampa cornfields, I'm looking at you.

Or unless you're afraid of the water because you don't know how to swim. If you happen to be one of those long-term water-wingers, there's something you can do about it today.

The Boise State Rec Department is teaching kids how to swim without any eye of newt or Hogwarts diplomas required.

Classes will run throughout June and July and are available for children ages 5-12 at various times in the mornings. Call 208-426-1131 or visit for more info.
