Anybody looking for live music on a Wednesday night in Boise knows they can find it at Pengilly’s: Self-described “psychobilly folk grass” rockers Jonathan Warren and the Billy Goats
have been an institution at the downtown bar for more for more than a year now. But they are no strangers to other venues in town. Their gig schedule for the next week or so includes dates at The Piper Pub, Sapphire, the Record Exchange and Tom Grainey’s.
In fact, they will be releasing their most recent album—A Little Something Stronger Than Wine—at Grainey’s tonight. The adults-only party starts at 10 p.m. and costs $3. But if you’re thinking you (and the entire family) need a fix before that, head down to the Record Exchange, where they will be doing a little preemptive in-store performance at 5:30 p.m. That show is FREE for all.
