Ignite Boise launches IB6 tonight at the Egyptian Theatre. This is the sixth iteration of the creative bomb-meets-Powerpoint-meets-informational speech confab that happens in Twittertime, which means each five-minute, 20-slide presentation is the 140-character version of what, in many cases, could be a dry 45-minute speech.
Tonight's lineup includes a bit on shaving (is it a necessity or a load of "Schick" ... talk amongst yourselves), one on the difference between living and existing as told by a felon, one presented on behalf of a 4-year-old Coonhound rescue dog, and one from some crazy dude whose handle is @ssutton and who plans to tell us about dressing up in black gowns with antlers attached to his head (full disclosure: BW claims that crazy dude as one of our own).
If you don't have a ticket, don't worry. Just show up and scope out a seat. It's free. Carve about three hours out of your schedule if you plan to stay for the whole shebang. General admission starts at 6:30 p.m. and things crank up at 7 p.m. Everyone who is just about anyone in the Twitterverse will be chirping away so search #IBR for the show that happens during the show.
