Need Something To Do Friday?

Paella is always good, but when you can enjoy it and do a solid for the community at the same time, everybody wins. And we in Boise are lucky enough to live among members of one culture who are known as some of the best purveyors of paella around.

Euzkaldanak or The Basque Center and South Junior High are hosting a fundraiser to buy books and supplies for students at the school. The evening includes live music and an auction, as well as dinner—which is where that tasty paella comes in. If, by some weird chance, you don’t fill up on the specialty of the house, there will be salad and bread as well. A no-host bar means you’ll be able to wash it all down and loosen the purse strings a bit more when it comes to bidding on auction items.

So go ahead and head downtown for an evening of guilt-free indulgence. Things get going around 5 p.m., and the cost is $25—or $20 if you purchase tickets in advance.
