UPDATED WITH SLIDESHOW: Vintage Motorcycle Rally and Show This Weekend

With the promise of spring weather just around the corner, many motorcyclists are taking to the roads, willing to brave the wind, cold and sometimes rain. If you are one of those riders, then you might want to cruise out to Caldwell this weekend for a motorcycle rally and the 34th annual Vintage Motorcycle Show.

On Saturday, March 19, riders can meet at the Caldwell City Park at 1:30 p.m., and after kicking tires and telling lies, gun the engines at 3 p.m. for a 30-mile ride. While the rally is an opportunity to showcase and ride vintage machines, all riders are welcome.

Then on Sunday, March 20, join other vintage cycle enthusiasts at the O'Connor Fieldhouse for the Vintage Motorcycle Show. A collection of outstanding old bikes will be on hand for viewing, along with plenty of shop talk and a swap meet. Can you say "hard to find parts"?

Last year's show featured more than 150 bikes and this year promises the same, with classic styles, old road racers, dirt bikes and even bicycles. With everything from the early 1900s and from Harley to Honda, this promises to be two-wheeled vintage in all its glory.

For those of you who might be interested in showing off your classic machine, take your bike to the event early. There is no fee to enter your bike and you'll receive free admission to the show.

The show runs from noon-4 p.m. and admission is $4 at the door. For more information, call 208-377-4981.
