People Stood in Line "Wicked" Early at the Morrison Center Today

by

Early this morning, about 50 people huddled against the wind waiting to buy tickets to the Broadway musical Wicked. Tickets for the show went on sale at 7 a.m. today and were only available at the box office—they were not available at Select-a-Seat outlets or online until after 10 a.m.

The line that snaked along the building was made up of a diverse crowd of people: a husband getting tickets for his wife and kids, a pair of friends prompted to get tickets by a granddaughter’s suggestion and people like Melissa Jenson and her friends who left Salt Lake City at 1 a.m. this morning to make sure they got good seats. They set out after they learned at midnight that they wouldn't be able to get tickets online until after 10 a.m.

The acclaimed musical comes to Boise as part of Fred Meyer’s Broadway in Boise series. Tickets are now available at Select-a-Seat outlets, idahotickets.com or by calling 208-426-1110. Tickets are limited to eight per order.
