Here’s my Oscar prediction: the biggest break-out stars in tonight’s ceremonies will be ... the students at PS 22.
If you haven’t heard of these amazing elementary school kids from Staten Island, N.Y., you’re in for a treat. Come Monday morning, they’ll be on everyone’s guest list.
PS 22 is one of the largest elementary schools in New York City. An amazing music teacher, Gregg Breinberg, works with the fifth graders from a wide cross-section of ethnic groups and socio-economic levels. They have been invited to perform before a global television audience of about 1 billion. Here are the kids in the school's rickety auditorium performing Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida.”
