You’re thinking Manchester, Tenn., is too far to go for Bonnaroo in June, Sasquatch—at the Gorge in Washington—is sold out and SXSW is approaching too rapidly for you to wrangle up the cash to go.
You can keep it close to home with the Idaho-Down music festival at Brundage Mountain in McCall, August 19-20. You have plenty of time to get it on your schedule and save your pennies.
In the meantime, head to the Knitting Factory tonight for a show that will help make the Idaho-Down Throw-Down a possibility for the second year in a row.
This is the first of three events to raise funds for the music festival and tonight's Throw-Down features performances by Equaleyes, Matt Hopper and the Roman Candles and Jupiter Holiday. Rumor has it there will be belly dancers, hula hoopers and visual artists in attendance, too. Hell, even Farmer Brown will be celebrating his 60th birthday by kicking up his heels there tonight.
