That's right, it's Thursday. And Jeff Dunham is at The Idaho Center. Which means you should probably make an effort to be as far away from that as possible.
Like, perhaps, a local rock show.
Perhaps, Mousy Brown? They're not the loudest, but the five-piece outfit performing at Reef tonight may just be the most darling band Boise has to offer. Their sound is the kind of pop that isn't a slur: smooth songs that steer clear of predictable melodies or arrangements, and instrumentation that comfortably stretches expectations and boundaries rather than outright pushes them.
Also playing will be up-and-comers Junior Rocket Scientist, whose sci-fi-flavored dance punk is a pleasant switch from the indie- and metal-dominated Boise music scene.
The show starts at 9 p.m. and is FREE.
