Heads up, local bands.
On Thursday, Feb. 10, six bands will compete. The crowd will determine which four move on to the finals—everyone at the show will get a vote.
On Thursday, Feb. 17, the four bands will compete before a panel of judges (including yours truly) and prizes will go to the top three bands. The grand prize is an opening spot for a national act; $500 in cold, hard cash; and 10 pairs of tickets to any show at the Knitting Factory for one year.
The competition is open to any and all genres, so take your fingers off the fretboard, put them on the keyboard and e-mail Collis at email@example.com with the following information.
But e-mail the info just once: multiple entries will disqualify your band.
Visit the Knitting Factory website for more information and e-mail Collis with any questions.
