The secret is out ... Boise State has one of the best football programs in the country. But what makes the team tick? They compete year to year with the big boys, and apart from the occasional close game or rare loss, the Broncos consistently dominate in a landscape where they are out-funded by bigger, establishment schools.
Since taking his first starting snap as a freshman in 2008, Kellen Moore has, in many ways, defined the high power offense that Boise State is known for. Moore, a 2010 Heisman Trophy finalist, is not like other college quarterbacks though. Recently, ESPN featured Moore in a piece focused on the unique qualities of this type of player. He may not be the biggest or most physical guy on the field but Moore seldom makes mistakes, and displays an innate understanding of the game. His stats are mind numbing, and his composure in big games is astounding.
