Need Something to do Today?

A recent post from a political worker on Facebook asked local employers to consider the bright and talented people whose employment was about to end from the passing of the election, and in some cases, the politicians they worked for.

And while all those workers knew getting into things that their jobs were temporary and their industry tough, that doesn't make the prospect of an unemployed future any easier.

And they aren't alone. National unemployment is too high for comfort and the coming holiday season, generally seen as a boon in temporary work, is looking to be sluggish.

It's tough out there for workers, political or otherwise. But it ain't all bad. As the saying goes, "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade."

So tonight, why not see some examples of people doing exactly that.

Tonight at 6 p.m., The Boise Water Cooler is hosting a special screening of Lemonade, a film about people laid off from jobs in advertising, who took their job loss as an opportunity to turn their life around and accomplish their dreams.
