I received news that Counselor Magazine named Boise as one the top 25 metro markets working the hardest to promote their communities and businesses using branded giveaways.

My first question: What is Counselor magazine? I had no idea there was a magazine dedicated to being the leading source of news in the promotional products industry. This is the first time that they have issued such a list and it is tied to the amount of money being spent per capita on promotional products.

My second question: Really? Boise came in at number 14 with annual promotional sales of $40 million. This indicator supposedly offers insight into the economic health of a city. I am intrigued by this point but not sure that I would correlate these factors.
